Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Anywhere Studio ("Hootz AI", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Hootz AI mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We aim to collect only what we need to operate the Service:

  • Content you provide. Photos or images you upload (which may include photos of your face), text prompts you enter, and the videos or images you generate. See Section 4 for how we handle photos that contain faces.
  • Purchase information. Records of subscriptions, credit purchases, and transaction status. Payments are processed by Apple; we do not receive your full payment card details.
  • Device and usage data. Device model, operating system version, app version, language, approximate region, crash logs, and basic analytics about how features are used.
  • Identifiers. An anonymous, randomly generated identifier used to associate your credits and creations with your installation. This identifier is not linked to your name, email address, or other directly identifying information.

The Service is designed to work without requiring you to create an account or provide your name, and we do not ask for more personal information than is necessary.

2. How we use information

  • To generate the videos and images you request.
  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service and its features.
  • To process purchases, manage credits, and prevent abuse or fraud.
  • To diagnose problems, monitor stability, and understand which features are useful.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. AI processing and third-party providers

To generate a video or image, the app sends your uploaded photo(s) and text prompt over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our backend service, which runs on Cloudflare Workers. Your photo is stored temporarily in Cloudflare R2 (our cloud storage) and is retrieved, via a short-lived access link that expires after approximately one hour, by the third-party AI generation provider that renders your result. Depending on the template or model you select, that provider is one of the following:

These providers process your photos and prompts solely to produce the result you requested and handle data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not sell your content, and we do not send your photos or prompts to any AI provider other than those listed above.

4. Face data collection, use, and retention

What face data we collect

The app lets you upload standard photographs from your photo library or camera, and those photos may contain your face (or the face of another person who has given you permission to use their photo, as required by our Terms of Service). We do not collect biometric identifiers, face geometry, depth maps, facial-recognition templates, or any other biometric data. Your photo is handled as a standard image file — no facial mapping or biometric extraction is performed by the app or by our backend at any point.

How we use face data

Photos containing faces are used for one purpose only: generating the AI video or image you request from your chosen template or prompt. Face data is never used for facial recognition, identification, identity verification, advertising, or profiling. We do not use your photos to train AI models.

Third-party sharing of face data

To perform the generation, your photo is transmitted over HTTPS to our backend (Cloudflare Workers), stored temporarily in Cloudflare R2, and retrieved by the AI generation provider — EvoLink or fal.ai, as described in Section 3 — solely to produce the video or image you requested. No other third parties receive your photos.

Face data retention, storage, and deletion

  • Your uploaded photo is stored in Cloudflare R2 only for as long as needed to complete your generation. It is deleted automatically after your generation completes, and in all cases within 24 hours of upload.
  • Generated videos and images are delivered to and stored on your device. We do not keep a permanent copy of your results on our servers; the provider's temporary download link expires within approximately 24 hours.
  • You can delete your creations at any time from within the app, and deleting the app removes all locally stored content.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

  • With the service providers named in Sections 3 and 7 (AI generation, cloud hosting, analytics, and subscription-management vendors) who process data on our behalf.
  • With Apple, for payments, subscriptions, and app distribution.
  • When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of users, the public, or Anywhere Studio.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

6. Data retention and deletion

  • Uploaded photos: deleted automatically after your generation completes, and in all cases within 24 hours of upload (see Section 4).
  • Generated videos and images: stored on your device; we do not keep a permanent server-side copy.
  • Generation records: we keep basic records of your generation requests (such as the selected template or model, job status, credit transactions, and timestamps) for as long as needed to operate credits, troubleshoot problems, and prevent abuse or fraud.
  • Deletion requests: you can delete your creations within the app; to request deletion of other data, contact us at litilabs@outlook.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us at litilabs@outlook.com. You can also manage subscriptions and purchases through your Apple ID settings.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age required by your local law (for example, 13, or 16 in some regions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) transmission of your photos and prompts. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Payments

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Your payment details are handled by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy; we receive only the information needed to confirm and manage your purchase.

12. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including by our service providers. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the app.
